Our Story

In 2008, a Christian and Missionary Alliance church in Zionsville, Indiana, Eagle Church, had a vision to reach out to the growing west side of Indianapolis. A small group of Christ-followers began meeting in homes and slowly grew to 40 people. God seemed to be leading this group to begin thinking about a weekly worship service, and within a year and half,  Eagle Church at Avon was born.

The first worship service took place in January of 2010. The new congregation met on Saturday nights as they shared resources with the parent church. Five years later, Eagle church at Avon switched their name to Crossbridge Community Church as they charted a path to accreditation and independence.

Today, Crossbridge is a fully accredited church with the Christian and Missionary Alliance and believes that God has planted her here to, "Become whole in Jesus Christ, as we are a part of creating whole families, whole communities and whole world, to the glory of God."

As a broken people, marred by sin, Jesus met us where we were. The great Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King began and continues a process of redemption in our lives. His goal is to make us whole people. Therefore, as a people of Crossbridge Community Church, we believe that our primary calling is to follow Jesus, abiding in the True Vine through the power of the Holy Spirit.

In short, we believe, "The Cross is the bridge to life with God." This is our foundational belief. From this foundational belief, we have four convictions we hold dear:

  • Living Things Grow
  • We Are Better Together
  • God Gives
  • Lost People Matter
